Accessible and personalized care for your intimate and sexual health
Taking care of your intimate health is an essential part of your overall health.
Whether you are due for cervical cancer screening, would like to undergo STI screening, or are experiencing vulvovaginal or urinary symptoms, our team welcomes you in a confidential, respectful, and non-judgmental environment.
Our women’s intimate health services are offered at our Laval, Saint-Hubert, and Quebec City clinics, with care adapted to your needs and referral to the appropriate professional when necessary.
What services are offered in women’s intimate health?
Our services address a range of needs related to screening, prevention, and certain symptoms affecting intimate health.
Cervical cancer screening
Screening helps detect high-risk HPV before significant changes appear on the cervix.
- A qualified nurse can perform your HPV sample collection with reflex Pap testing and support you in following up on your results.
STI screening
Some sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections may be present without causing symptoms.
- A nurse can assess your situation to determine which tests and collection sites are appropriate based on your sexual practices and exposures. When an infection is detected, care and treatment may also be offered when indicated.
Vulvovaginal and urinary symptoms
Unusual vaginal discharge, itching, irritation, changes in odour, burning sensations, or certain urinary symptoms?
- A nurse can assess several vulvovaginal and urinary symptoms, perform the appropriate sample collections, and, when indicated, offer treatment adapted to your situation.
How does the care process work?
Your appointment begins with a confidential discussion with the nurse to understand the reason for your consultation, your medical history, and your needs.
Depending on your situation, your care may include:
- A clinical assessment;
- Advice tailored to your situation;
- Sample collections or tests;
- Communication and follow-up of your results;
- Treatment when indicated;
- Referral to a physician or another healthcare professional if needed.
The care and treatments proposed by the nurse are determined according to your situation, current Quebec recommendations, and applicable collective prescriptions.
What happens if my situation requires additional expertise?
Some intimate health concerns may require a medical assessment or support from another healthcare professional. Our team can help you identify the most appropriate resource for your situation.
-
Urology
Several concerns affecting women’s urinary, vulvovaginal, or sexual health can be assessed and managed by our urologists directly within our clinics.
When your situation requires urological expertise, our team can refer you to one of our specialists and inform you about the tests or treatments that may be available based on your needs. -
Gynecology
Certain situations may require specialized gynecological assessment or follow-up. When indicated, our team may recommend that you consult a gynecologist. -
Family medicine
Some concerns may require a more general medical assessment, additional investigations, or follow-up in family medicine. -
Sexology and pelvic physiotherapy
Certain concerns related to sexual health, sexual well-being, or the pelvic floor may benefit from the support of a specialized professional, such as a sexologist or a physiotherapist specializing in perineal and pelvic rehabilitation.

Additional attention to your sexual health
Before your appointment, you may also complete a short optional questionnaire about your sexual health and well-being.
If you wish to discuss it, your answers may help the nurse address concerns such as decreased desire, vaginal dryness, pain or discomfort during sexual intercourse, difficulties related to arousal or orgasm, or any other difficulty that may affect your sexual life.
This complementary assessment is included in your appointment to support a more comprehensive approach to your sexual health. It is offered at no additional cost as part of this consultation.
Depending on your needs, the nurse may suggest options adapted to your situation. If further clarification or specialized assessment is needed, she may also discuss your situation with one of our urologists or refer you to an appropriate consultation.
This process remains entirely optional, confidential, and non-judgmental.
