So it is with regret that we inform you that <strong>starting September 5 2017, Dr. Carlos Marois will be a urologist who no longer is registered with the RAMQ<\/strong>. In addition, he will no longer be affiliated with the Verdun hospital. As such, he will not be able to claim the payment of the RAMQ for his fees.<\/p>\n<p>This means that when you will have recourse to his professional services, you will have to pay him directly the cost of the services he will provide you. If this is the case, you should be aware that you will not be able to request or obtain from the RAMQ, the reimbursement of the cost of the services you have paid.<\/p>\n<p>For patients who wish to continue with another urologist registered in the RAMQ: you can request a copy of your medical file at no cost as well as a reference to see another urologist. In addition, your prescriptions will be renewed until March 5, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The services offered at the <strong>offices in Verdun and Greenfield Park, as well as in Quebec<\/strong> will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New consultations<\/li>\n<li>Follow-\u00ad\u2010up appointments<\/li>\n<li>Diagnostic tests (e.g. cystoscopy, prostate ultrasound, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Minor surgeries (e.g. vasectomy, circumcision, cutaneous excision of scrotal lesions)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The services offered <strong>only at the office in Verdun<\/strong> will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minor surgeries requiring special equipment (vasovasostomy, cure of hydrocele)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The services offered <strong>only at the Centre de Chirurgie Mont-Royal<\/strong> will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Surgery in a private operating room with general and spinal anaesthesia<\/li>\n<li>TURP, urethropexy TOT, flexible and rigid ureteroscopy and penile prosthesis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information, please visit our website or <a href=\"https:\/\/lescliniquesmaroisurologue.ca\/en\/contact-us\/\">contact Dr. Marois Private Urologist\u2019s Clinic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for your understanding and loyalty!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Notice of Non Registration With the R\u00e9gie de l\u2019assurance maladie du Qu\u00e9bec (RAMQ) Given the recent legislative reforms imposed by the Minister of Health, it will be difficult to continue offering the various urological services in the office in such a context.
